HAWAII HORSE EXPO 2014 REINS IN TOP EXPERTS
Dates Set for Equine Excellence and Learning
Hawaii Island ~ 01.30.14 ~ Hawaii Island Humane Society’s 7th Annual Hawaii Horse Expo will be held Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, 2014 on Hawaii, the Big Island. A special Equine Medical Symposium will take place on Friday, August 22.All events take place at Paniolo Preservation Society’s Paniolo Heritage Center at Pukalani Stables in Waimea.
Proceeds from Hawaii Horse Expo (HHE) benefit the Humane Society’s Horse Rescue Fund, which helps abused and abandoned horses on the island. HHE has garnered considerable attention for attracting world-renowned equine experts who travel from across the mainland U.S. to share their knowledge and skills.
Regardless of one’s level of equine knowledge or abilities there is ample opportunity during HHE to build awareness across a wide variety of horse-related disciplines. Clinics and demonstrations held throughout the two days always include the opportunity for personal interaction with the experts.
Already planning to return to Hawaii Horse Expo 2014 are veterinarian, renowned equine behaviorist and lecturer Dr. Robert Miller and popular host of RFD TV's “The Horse Show” Rick Lamb. Both Lamb and Miller have been annual presenters at HHE since its inception. Waimea veterinarian and now clinical instructor at the West Metro Equine Practice of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Brady Bergin, is making plans to return to Hawaii Island as an HHE presenter at the Equine Medicine Symposium and during the two days of workshops and demonstrations.
In addition to interactive demonstrations during Hawaii Horse Expo there will be vendors offering state of the art services, medical and nutritional information and programs, saddle making, and related equine services including clothing, art and more.
